After breakfast, visit Negombo fish market and the village. Negombo is mainly famous for the fishing industry and you can see various seafood varieties in there. Afterwards, we’ll transfer to St. Mary’s church as it a beautiful place to visit when you are in Negombo. ( Instead you can visit the Katuwapitiya Church as well – the place where 2019 bomb attack took place ). Explore Negombo and drive to the hotel. Night in Negombo.
Morning starts the journey to inland. Visit Pineapple plantation on the way to Sigiriya. Pineapple is commercially important crop and it is succulent in taste. Then visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. Pinnawala is a place that provides care, safety and love to the orphaned Elephants who are found in forests. Dambulla cave temple is another interesting place to visit when you are in Dambulla. This cave temple is dates back to 1st century BCE and it contains 5 caves. Each cave consisting of Buddha statues which depicts Lord Buddha’s life. Transfer to the hotel and night in Sigiriya/ Dambulla.
Leave to Polonnaruwa. This site was declared as a UNESCO world heritage site due to its magnificent archaeological importance. Once finished, we’ll drive to Minneriya National park to spot the herds of Elephants and this could be one of Asia’s finest wildlife experience. Drive back to the Sigiriya hotel and spend the night in there.
Morning drive from the hotel to see the 8th world wonder the Sigiriya rock fortress. Sigiriya is famous for its palace ruins on the top of a massive rock or you could possibly climb Pidurangala rock. During King Kashyapa’s era, Pidurangala was used as a monastery for Bhikkus. Once you get down , we’ll drive to Kandy. In Kandy we’ll visit Buddha Tooth temple which carries a lot of value to Buddhists all over the world. Transfer to the hotel in Kandy and spend the night in there.
Explore Kandy city and if you are keen to do a trekking, we can do a trekking at Udawatta Kale sanctuary. Kandy is well known for its authentic Sri Lankan cuisine. Hence, you can get an experience of Sri Lankan cooking style. Evening witness Cultural dance performance. Traditional Kandyan dances include the Cobra dance, mask dance & fire dance. Back to the same hotel and stay in Kandy.
Drive to Nuwara Eliya commonly known as “Little England “ due to lush Tea Estates and spectacular green environment. Travelling through lush tea plantation, you could visit a Tea factory to observe the manufacturing process of tea. In Nuwara Eliya, there are number of majestic cascading waterfalls definitely worth to see. Transfer to the hotel in Nuwara Eliya and spend the night in Nuwara Eliya.
Leave to Nanu oya station to catch the train from Nanu oya to Ella. Proceed to Ella from train. You can see a splendid view of Tea plantations, mountains, waterfalls & beautiful landscapes. Once you get down from the train, we’ll pick you up from there and drive to see the mini Adams peak. If you are willing to experience best views without hiking for a long, mini Adams peak is the prefect trekking. In the end of the day, leave to hotel and spend the night in Ella.
Visit Lipton's seat in the morning; one of the finest viewpoints in the country and named after the Scottish tea baron Sir Thomas Lipton, who often came here to admire his burgeoning empire from here. Ella is mainly famous for Adventurous programs. Hence, you would possibly do a trekking to Ella rock. Ella is well known for Ayurvedic treatments and it is possible to have a treatment complete with a relaxing massage here. Overnight stay in Ella.
Transfer to Yala. En route visit the Rawana waterfall and the Buduruwagala rock carvings; a group of 7 colossal standing figures carved into the face of a large rock. The Mahayana Buddhist figure of 51ft tall is flanked by Buddha figures and the Goddess Tara. The figures show traces of their original plaster and paint and are dated between 8th – 10th century AD. We'll end our day with an evening safari in Yalla national park, where you'll have an opportunity to spot leopards! Overnight stay in Yala.
Leave for the beaches. There are nice beaches in down south which are vary from one another. Therefore, you can found either busier and more popular beaches and in the meantime quiet, uncrowded sandy beaches as per your preference. You can spend this day in one of the beach interest. Night in the beach you’ve selected.
Reach to Galle and experience the charms of Galle and Sri Lanka's southwest coast. On the way visit the turtle hatchery, which started in 1988 to protect Sri lankan turtles from extinction. We'll go and see the famous Stilt Fishermen at Weligama and explore the UNESCO-listed Galle Fort, where 17th century ramparts enclose colonial buildings. We'll end our tour at a beach in down south or Negombo.
